Kim Scowden
“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”

Having been a Christian for nearly twenty years, Kim Scowden says she still has a lot to learn. Kim attended a small private college where she studied music and religion. College was a pivotal time in her life, as there she encountered many opportunities to not only explore and define her faith, but that was also where God made it clear to her that music was a gift He had given her. Through a series of ordained events, Kim received the opportunity to tour with an established band as their opening act.

“It has been such a privilege to play on the same stages as so many great artists.”
says Kim, “I’ve already done things I would have never dreamed possible!”

Though she enjoys performing her original songs, Kim also has a passion to see people worship their Creator and Savior.

“Few things bring me more joy than witnessing God’s people calling upon Him, and watching Him come near to us. He pours over us … the broken, the weary, the lonely…whatever state
we are in, He comes if we call.

We are all broken.
We all have our issues.

One of the safest places to be is with other believers, laying it all down before the cross, and corporately calling out to the only One who can mend our broken hearts. What a privilege to bring it all to Him! He hears us, and he comes near to us if we just call out to Him.”
